Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather."~ John Ruskin

A Yankee: "Bite me."

By anyone's standards, Victorian art critic's exempted,  today was a Bad Weather Day.   Second Nor'easter in as many weeks to dump 6+ inches of snow on us.

In other words a perfect day to go out car shopping.   No, really it was.  No lines and we timed it well enough that the driving wasn't horrible.   Well, for anyone north of the Mason-Dixon.

We've had really bad car issues over the last month that finally culminated in our car being completely inoperable this week.  My best friend Anitka Nueva kindly let us use her van for a few days while we got the loan approval and found a car within our budget.

We normally buy cars through private sales, but decided to opt for financing a good second hand car this time simply because we wanted something with better gas mileage than the older cars that we could afford with what we had in cash.   With a 100-mile a day round trip commute, gas gets expensive quick.

Fortunately, we found a cute 2009 Hyundai Elantra in our budget that I'm in love with.   May never buy another type of car again.   Will post pics as soon as the weather stops being interesting.
